Wait, twin V8 engines and the whole car is the door?
And the chose an Aerostar to begin with? Why?

Yeah, I didn’t realize it was TWO engines when I clicked through...
Maybe the Aerostar gets to use the HOV lane in LA?
I’d have started with the Olds Lt. Spock Shuttlecraft, but it’s still pretty awesome. Plus, steers like a Tank.

What makes you think that any Aerostar was actually involved in the build in the first place? Just because it looks like Aerostar doesn't mean it is made of Aerostar!

There are better looking vans out there. Maybe the length was just right or something. Dust Buster van would have been better.

I meant the body she'll she how they chose such a strange vehicle. I think a dust buster van would have been better even if they wanted a van to begin with. Maybe it was just the right length to also allow room for the driver at the front?

Or you could just go straight to the right answer, and buy a Ripsaw.

Because the Aerostar was new when this was made. Here is what I think the Bigfoot original version of Fasttrax

So THAT’S what happened to Bigfoot Fastrax...
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bigfoot_(truck)#Other_vehicles
‘Based on an M84 mortar carrier chassis with two Ford 460ci engines and C6 automatic transmissions, it was purchased by Bigfoot in 1988 and underwent extensive modifications. The body is the upper half of a fiberglass replica of a 1990 Aerostar . It was used as a display vehicle.
